I lost my great listener last night. Last night around 2:00 in the morning, as I held her hand, my sister left
this world and went to be with our mother in a better place.
I will always remember my sister as the one that was there to listen and be a
supporting voice when there were no others. In that way, my sister really
lived her entire life being a sister to so many people in this world.

April OA Weekend I just posted some pictures from the April OA
Weekend. Not very many photos there. I hardly had time to pick up a
camera all weekend. Work on Conclave is progressing. The problem at this stage is that we've
got a lot of people that need a fire lit underneath them. People are still
believing that things get done on their own, and I'm afraid the only thing
that's going to teach them differently is a major embarrassment in front of the
whole section. I also posted some pictures from the Council of
Chiefs, which took place the previous weekend.

people that get stuck under that bridge at bates street.

Weekend Warriors I spent today up at Camp Conestoga volunteering with the Weekend Warriors
helping them get camp ready for the OA weekend. We spent all day in the dining
hall. Unfortunately, there were some break-in's at camp over the Winter.
Among the things destroyed up at camp, it appears that somebody brok into the
dining hall and stole all the copper pipe off the wall, presumably for the
scrap. We spent the day jackhammering the old concrete out of the room previously
holding the waterheaters. There is a new waterheater going in, but
unfortunately the floor has collapsed, so we need to pour a new floor first.
Meanwhile, all of the missing pipes are being replaced with plastic. Pictures from today are available
here.

Team Wright wins Championships! Team Wright wins the Pittsburgh Curling Club 3 Rivers Medal. The draw was neck and neck the entire way through up until the 8th end,
when we managed to grab 3 points and clinch a win. Final score was
8-6.

Team Wright moves on to championships. After receiving a first-round bye due to our standings, Team Wright beat
Team Pomaybo last night in a game that came down to skip's rocks. It was a
fierce battle the entire way through. Nobody gave up more than 2 points in any
end, and there were more draws to the button than in any game I've ever
played. Next Saturday at 7:00, we'll be competing in the League Gold Division
Championships for a chance to win the Three Rivers Medal.

Getting PostgreSQL to run on OS X 10.5 I had some trouble getting PostgreSQL to
work with launchd
today. I googled a few articles, including this one but
of the few that actually contained sample code, none of them seemed to
work. One thing I realized is that most of the examples out there try to invoke pg_ctl. This is a mistake. Launchd
